Okay, it's been quite a while since I've submit something. Well, something traditional at least.
So, this is what I've been working on for the past 8 months or so.
The girl in the picture is a girl from my class, Hanna.
Graphite
Size A4
Ok, I knew you were good but this is so stunninig!
There's just one thing I can't understand... The hat should create a cast shadow over her face, but this doesn't happen so the hat looks kind of separated from the rest of the drawing...
That's also because the light on the right side of the hat (a pure white) isn't so strong on the same side of the girl's face or of her hair.
But this is amazing, I can't understand how you rendered the hat so detailed...

Thank you.
And I know what you're talking about, but that's how it looks in the photo. There is a soft shadow on her forehead from the hat. But it's pretty light and the "fur" from the hat makes it look lighter than it is. And in the photo the hat was kind of over-exposed, but I quite liked that, so I drew it just the way it was. And the contrast between the light, on her right side of the face and hair, and the light on the hat is accurate too, believe it or not.

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
